I love Gold….and Money

Gold has been on the rise lately…quite a bit.  After a few weeks of down turn (I personally believe it to be bad media), gold is back up to its record highs again.  When should you sell your gold to a buyer?  Well, thats really up to you.  If you feel insecure about selling everything at once, don’t.  Sell some make some money, keep whatever is left and hold it to maybe the price goes higher.  Don’t do everything on one shot (much like how bankers say you should diversify your investments).  Most people feel hesitant to sell there materials for the fact that they fear the price will go up and lose out on the big payouts.  So just take a bit at each time to manage a higher percentage, and you will be just fine!

So before we begin, please read THIS to get an explanation of what this is.

This page is for the ranking of PERCENTAGE of money you get for your materials through ONLINE transactions. Higher percentage means higher prices paid for you materials. Sources are taken from real life accounts (mine included) from blogs, news investigations, etc.

How did I calculate the averages? By reading news paper articles, interviews, 3rd party tests, complaints, blogs as well as from personal experience. I averaged the percent payouts and came out with these numbers. These are based on items ranging from 0-4 oz (which tends to be the typical items). I ranked them from the highest payout to the lowest payout. Leave comments if you have similar stories and or complaints and such!

Example: If you send in $25 dollars worth of material, and the payout percent is 20%, You receive a check of $5. You multiply price (25) multiplied by the percent (.20). So buyer beware

So, it would seem mother nature has taken its toll on the Diamond District.  Almost everybody is either closed, or taking a short day.  However, I still chug on through this bitter cold and give you some top news of today.  Gold has been rebounding from its massive lost of last week and been fluctuating between 1070-1075.  It’s been an up and down roller coaster due to the market tanking.  A huge market correction (ie going down) would result in gold intially going down then right back up to the record highs we had a couple of weeks ago

What is a exchange?  Well its a group of merchants that settle in one building to sell there wares.  This is a decent place to sell your materials.  They are kinda pushy and expensive (probably due to the high rent and location).  I would keep on looking around (be a smart shopper).  They have a nice selection and they definitely have a nice selection
